BEFORE MOVE-IN DAY
To expedite your move-in process, make sure you have paid your first installment and have considered renter’s insurance.
Paying Your First Installment
Please pay by 8/1/2022. Your first installment and Resident Shield must be paid in full prior to move-in, before you can receive your apartment keys.
Paying online is quick and easy! Rent is assessed through the YSU Student Portal Page. Residents can access their account through https://ysu.edu/university-bursar

Resident Shield
Resident Shield takes the place of a traditional security deposit and is non-refundable. Resident Shield is required upon lease signing or lease renewal.
WHAT TO BRING
to make life easier
One of the greatest things about living at University Courtyard is its fully furnished apartments. Here is a list of what is included in your apartment and suggestions for essentials you may want to bring with you.
What’s included:
Living room: Couch, chair, coffee and end tables, entertainment stand, bar stools, ceiling fan and window treatment (blinds).
Bedroom: Full size bed, four drawer chest, night stand, desk with chair, ceiling fan, and window treatment (blinds).
Kitchen: Refrigerator with ice maker, stove, microwave and dishwasher.
What to bring:
Pots and pans, cooking utensils, small appliances (toaster, blenders, etc.), cups, silverware, plates, dish soap, trash bin, television, full size bedding, lamps, shower curtain, toiletries, cleaning supplies, vacuum, etc.
Personal items such as linens, shower curtains, cookware, dishes, garbage bins, etc. are not provided. We suggest that you contact your roommates prior to move-in to determine what each person will bring for the common areas.
Parking:
You will need to obtain a parking permit from YSU Parking Services for each semester (fall, spring and summer).
If you are taking at least six (6) credit hours per semester, the fee will automatically be assessed to your student portal account listed as “Transportation Fee.” Anything under six credit hours you will need to notify the office and YSU Parking.
For visitors, you will need to obtain a visitor parking pass from Parking Services in advance (fee may apply).
Please remember to have your parking pass clearly visible. YSU Parking does ticket if not displayed.
Utilities:
Your rent includes the following utilities and your service will already be activated when you arrive:
- Electric (central heat and air conditioning)
- Water
- Trash/recycling
- Cable
- Internet though Single 1 Digits (Airwave Network) – login information will be provided
